Ecological protective coatings against oxidation for aeronautical engines
By recovering the residues of compounds containing rare earths, we have designed new environmentally friendly coatings based on rare earth oxide by electrodeposition. These coatings protect the nickel-based superalloys used in aeronautical turbine parts. They also provide thermal insulation. These discoveries, developed in partnership with the aeronautical equipment manufacturer Safran, are valued through more than 6 European and international patents.
